While Florida's junior Senator doesn't think the President of the United States can handle his current job, he nonetheless expects Democrats to keep "incapacitated person" Joe Biden atop the ticket.
"I think Biden will be their nominee. I think it's very difficult to change," Rick Scott told Newsmax viewers during an interview at Milwaukee's Republican National Convention.
"So I always thought he would be their nominee. I've always thought this, all year long, but we clearly see an incapacitated person that doesn't have the ability to be President of the United States."
Scott has made issue of Biden's alleged deterioration in the past, but especially in the wake of last month's debate between Biden and Donald Trump, as the current President seemed to struggle with presentation early on.
"I don't think anybody watching that believes that Joe Biden has the capacity to function as the President. Not today, not tomorrow, not next Jan. 20," Scott said during an appearance on the Guy Benson Show. "So I think what every Democrat in the country needs to do is they need to say whether they believe that Joe Biden ought to be top of the ticket."
The Senator raised similar concerns after a high-profile ABC News interview this month, where Biden was attempting to reset perceptions after the debate.
"The George Stephanopoulos interview has made one thing clear: Joe Biden is completely unfit to serve as president for the next 6 months, much less the next 4 years. This is exactly what the 25th Amendment was meant for," Scott posted to social media.
