How Taiwan compared to the REST of the world, as DDP prided itself, on being on the SAME track as, the rest of the world, observations from the Front Page Sections, translated…
In recent weeks, the important elections in three major countries in the world had been, set. The fourteen-year long parliament by the conservatives, taken over by the Labour Party; the Congressional Election in France, after the second round of voting, the liberal left received the majority of seats; while, Iran, out of expectations, elected a new president who is more, moderate. Taiwan need to take heed and example from these election results, leaning toward the left.
We are, stuck in the geographical awkward position of U.S. and Chinese stand-off, we are, all on high alert of the U.S. presidential election. Awhile ago, after the televised debate of the candidates, the changes brought on by the debates, increased the end-of-year risks. But, in the past eight years, although U.S. underwent the change of powers in political party, but it'd gone against the global trend, comparing, the hands changing of power in Europe, is fresher, especially of how this switch can bring about different sort of influences in the global economy.
The prime minister and the cabinet, will change with the parliament completely, the reason, clearly had to do with how the citizens of the country were upset over how the Conservatives leading the country out of the E.U. The originally voluminous Brexit lost the seats, while the Labor Party that's about to take power, stated, that the focus of the policies will be adjusting the British systems with the EU systems. Although, the Labor Party would NOT give up the assigning of the assets of the caste systems, but, as the focus of the policies are on restructuring the economy after Brexit, the Labor Party taking power may take Great Britain to get back to returning into the global economy, a new, direction.
As Macron had been elected as the French President, unemployment rate and inflation became his, biggest, challenges, the extreme left party, after winning the seats in the parliament, Macron is still the president, but, under the dual heads of state systems, the PM's power will be, increased, and, will the country lean toward protectionism in trade and employment? It may be similar to Great Britain, And because the right political party already, received support from the anti-immigrant and exiting out of the euro systems voters, the new government is likely to take a milder route, at least, temporarily, halt the plans of France, exiting out of the E.U.
The Iranian presidential election, normally, got ignored by the western countries, but this time, the country had, smoothly elect a president that's quite different from the conservative and Islamic ruling of caste systems, this was refreshing; and, this country that's deemed as enemies by the U.S., can it bring something new to the Middle Eastern air, this sparked up that hope in the people in the world. Since the Islamic Revolution of last century, Iran had been a huge ache in the American foreign affairs policies, after the U.S. used an assortment of means to strike it, it'd not gotten, defeated, and now, if after the election, it can turn toward a milder route, this can be considered a success of the U.S economic arbitration. To resolve the conflicts of Israeli-Palestinian Conflict soon, to return Iran and other areas affected by the conflict, to return back to the global economy, this is no longer, an, unreachable, dream.
The economy of Taiwan, had always been smooth, under the influence of the global trend, and it'd, withstand the trade wars between U.S. and China, and now, we're on the upstream of artificial intelligence technology development, we should be optimistic toward the international shift of anti-globalization, at least, before the U.S. election, the country can breathe, easily. Other than the economic takeaway, there's still something we need to learn.
The three elections let us see, the true meaning of "minority obey the majority", being how the party which gained more than half of the votes is the majority. And, this year, Taiwan elected another president that didn't get the majority of votes, and, soon as he got on post, he'd gotten into conflict with the more than fifty-percent votes elected league of political parties. Can we, NOT reform our, democracy?
So, this is, comparing the situation of Taiwan with the rest of the world, and how this country PALED by comparison to the other countries, how UNCIVILIZED the politicians are, in this country, how they're, SORE losers, and we are, still a far, far distance away, from being, democratic and civil.
