Still NOT a severe enough punishment, drug traffickers, receiving only five years in prison, not close to being enough, to DETER these repeated offenders from repeatedly, offending…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The temporary employee, Lin six years ago, was sentenced to a year four months for selling a level two controlled substance, finished serving his time in February of 2021, two years ago, in March, he'd sold another bag of 0.3 grams of amphetamine to Shih for a thousand dollars N.T.s; he'd admitted to trafficking the substances, the justice gave him a severe sentence of five years and one month because within five years of his release, he'd reoffended again. Another four months for the illegal abuse of the substance.
The investigations found, that two years ago on March 26th, Shih contacted Lin to purchase the amphetamine, at around 11:30 on the day, Shih was lifted by a friend via scooter, to meet Lin in the neighborhood where Lin lives, Lin handed off a small bag of amphetamine to Shih, and received the payment of $1,000N.T.s. Because Shih had been listed as a parolee of substance abuse, after he was given a urine test and tested positive, the police chased the leads and caught Lin.
In the interrogations and investigations, Lin admitted to selling the substance, which matched up to Shih and other witnesses' testimonies, and there were the records, surveillance footages, the judge believed that Lin's confessions were, factual.
The Tainan District Court found, that in 2018, Lin was sentenced to a year four months for selling a level two controlled substance, at the end of February of 2021, he'd finished serving the sentence for that, and he'd committed the same crimes within five years of his, release. The last case is similar to this current one. The courts added to his punishment, because of how quickly he'd, started offending again.
In the investigations, and the interrogations, Lin admitted to trafficking and selling the substances, and the sentencing would be added on and taken off based off of the laws.
In the final considerations of the court, Lin had only sold the substances to one person, the quantity of what he'd sold, and the costs, wasn't that huge, and, Lin admitted to what he'd done, showed remorse, and admitted that he'd sold a level two controlled substance, is a repeated offender, sentenced him to five years one month, this can be appealed.
The reason why this TRAFFICKER did NOT get a severe enough sentence was solely based off of how he had, turned himself in, and they call this "heavy", when in actuality it is, because drugs are a huge problem now, and, if these dealers and traffickers keep on getting these, slaps on their wrists, how do you think this can deter them from keep on, trafficking, selling the controlled substances? It can't, and the laws are, useless in preventing the drugs from spreading throughout the country here.
