She has been sleeping in our room in her kennel. My husband is convinced she will pull out of this with time. I am unsure because we do not know what "this" is. Stella is eating and drinking on her own. She is not her naughty self. Stella is not boldly strolling into the kitchen with her clicky little feet when I am cooking. Yesterday, our new tenant started off on the wrong foot. It is a small matter, however, it tells me who he is. The issue involved switching the power bill into his name 10 days ago. It isn't going to be done until tomorrow. I can see this going sideways. We have a different agreement with him than past tenants. This will go south quick. As I said the house is quietly on the market. I also put in our lease that the house can be sold at the owner's will and a 30-day notice. This rental property is a difficult house to sell for many reasons. The market in the area is not great. I spent the morning baking the weekly bread, making oat and nut milk, and making ravioli for the freezer. A long day in the kitchen makes the rest of the week go smoothly. There has been so much chaos in the last few months with the rental, our roof, and our dog being sick. On Monday, I was informed that the move my mother requested from the veteran's home to another veteran's facility. The requirement demands that she reside in the center she is in. The federal law requires the vet/widow ratio to be 75/25. Honestly, it is an excellent assisted living home. The location is a 2-hour drive from family. There isn't an equal facility in her hometown for the budget. It was nice to be lost in the repetitive work of baking and the clean-up. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
