When Shadows Fall

Lord, my body's tired my soul weary
My journey is rough, the way is long.
Stormy clouds gather dark and dreary
Lord keep me faithful, keep me strong.
In your loving arms I can find my rest
Your word reveals your mercy and love
I am weak Lord, hold me to your breast,
Till at last you call me to heaven above.
I have no earthly hand that can guide,
Leading the way to heaven's shore.
It's in Christ alone that my hope abides
In His forgiveness I'll see heaven's door.
The day grows long and shadows fall;
Over the far hill the sun brings to set.
Soon I know I will hear my Savior call;
For it was Christ alone that paid my debt.
