Judges Chapter 16.
The Philistines were full of delight. They had caught their enemy Samson, and made hi a helpless prisoner.
In prison Samson prayed, 'Please strengthen me one more time'. Then Samson pushed against the pillars with all his strength and might. The temple crashed down upon the Philistine leaders and all the people.
How did Samson end up in this situation of being in prison? Delilah! The Bible tells up she constantly at him every day to find out about his strength.
Satan is also persistent, and he waits to catch us in an unguarded moment. 2 Corinthians 11 Verse 14: "And no wonder! For Satan himself is disguised as an angel of light". {We all just need to remember he is a defeated foe, and he will flee from us}.
That is why there are certain doors in life we should never open. If we feed the wrong appetite for a day, we can end up struggling for a lifetime.
The Good News at his weakest moment, Samson remembered God! And It is a wonderful day when we remember God in our troubles and reach for Him again.
Notice from this story Samson's greatest victory was recorded in the final chapter of his life after he turned back to God.
In fact in Hebrews 11, Samson is named among the heroes of faith. Regardless of where we find ourselves today, turn to Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, He will always help us make a comeback. It is never to late to call on Our Lord and Our Friend to help.
God Bless.
