I updated my resume and cover letter and spent alot of time making sure that they were the best representation of myself and my skills and the value I would bring to the company... I submitted both of them. I received the auto-confirmation that it was received and the dreaded email: "Your application has been received and we will review it right away. If your application seems like a good fit for the position we will contact you soon." And I haven't heard anything else since. I'm disappointed. I was super-excited and now that's gone away and I'm back to my daily routine of constant negativity. I was hoping this would be my way out. I never did figure out what I was going to do about references, since I didn't want my current coworkers to know that I was applying elsewhere. I guess it doesn't matter now. Comment
