It's been a peaceful week of homemaking here in the Quiltiferous household. I've spent my days calmly and quietly making my home lovely and feeding my family good things. I've stayed at home this week, for the most part, except to grocery shop.
For two days out of this week, I cleaned carpet. Doc said something about having the carpets cleaned so that we could save them from being replaced. That put an idea in my head! I knew we owned a carpet steam cleaner, and that YouTube could probably show me how to use it again and troubleshoot anything that might go wrong. I cleaned a specific filter, and it worked a charm! I was able to clean my dining room carpet twice. The first time I used the steamer, my carpets got cleaner than they were. I let them dry completely and assessed whether they needed a second round. I decided to clean them a second time! The floors got much cleaner. The color of the water both times was gross! I know I'll be making floors a higher priority in my cleaning!
Other than floor cleaning, I made good food for my family. I spent time making meals, but also snacks in between. The homemade baked goods often make all the difference in the happiness of my guys at home. We can have lighter meals, but with good quality snacks everyone's happy!
The only thing that wasn't peaceful about my week was the storm that came through! About 8 o'clock on Thursday night, the tornado alarm went off. We took all our family members to the back hallway post haste for a half an hour! That night, there was a ton of rain, but all was well with the house and grounds. We're so thankful for a safe evening and night!
I pray that you have had a peaceful week, and that you're safe from the storms that came through this week! Happy Friday!
Stacy
