This is so totally, NOT the correct way to set up the advisors of the president's, but hey, it's favoritism, as usual, so…off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
As the grand exodus of DDP presidential cabinet members happen, the most shocking internally and to the people, without a doubt, is Chen, who'd only signed on for the speaker of the Executive Department, who'd transferred to the position of the head of Department of Transportation, but, the department of transportation is professional knowledge, and quite detailed, giving the post to someone with absolutely ZERO experience in the area, still showed how Lai only places people who are within his specific clique, into office, its' a wonder, that all members of the parties are all, surprised, with the parties out of power questioning the validity of this, decision.
Chen was not the first with a total lacking of knowledge or awareness of the transportation department who'd been set up to head the Department of Transportation, the former, Lee had been questioned of his capabilities soon as he came to office, Lee's expertise is in hydraulic engineering, but, his professionalism in hydraulic engineering can, barely, coincide with his being the secretary of Executive Department, while Chen came out of the poli-sci department of Donghai University, with three terms of city councilman under his belt in the past, and in Lai's campaign, he was the spokesperson of Lai's campaign headquarters, he has ZERO experiences in transportation.
with a total disregard of the abilities or expertise of those whom he'd named to head the individual departments of the government...illustration from online
The only related, was he'd once proposed the setup for the public rental bicycle kiosks outside of the MRT stations in Taichung as a city councilman, and planned the bus routes according to the locations of these bicycle kiosks. The head of Executive, Cho commends Chen, but can only, stated that Chen had the expertise in political and entrepreneurial management, and knew the ins and outs of the traffic situation of the city. Chen stated, that in the future, he will respect the opinions of professionals to swiftly learn the skill sets required for his office.
Cho also knew that Chen wasn't agile with the transportation but knew the ways of politics, and can follow through Lai's wills; but this also showed, that Cho had a tiny circle of selections of personnel, which caused him to have a lacking of able-bodied individuals to work in the specific departments of government, the Lai government had chosen "those who are worthy of Lai's trust", instead of "those who are professionals" in selecting the different heads of department.
It's just, that the professionalism of transportation includes the land, the air, and the seas, not as simple as trying to make the budget work in the discussion sessions of the legislature meetings, Lai's chosen officials, although they knew how to manipulate politics, but they're all in the interning stages, people care about the breakthroughs of the southern, eastern extensions of the high-speed rail systems, and how the traffic can flow easily into Hualien as the natural disasters destroyed the routes into the county, the cost-benefit of building of the third terminal of the Taoyuan International Airport, all of these, issues that are headaches to the professionals in the transportation department, can Chen really, resolve practically, we are, waiting to see.
And so, this is the case of putting people who will agree with him into the slots, and by so doing, the government lacked the professionalism, and chances are, if something hits this "country" (no longer one since the DDP took over!!!) again, the bubbles will all burst, and we the people will continue to hear those, sorry excuses of why there should've been minimal damages caused by the disasters that struck, but it wasn't, prevented, then, finger-pointing starts, it's not my fault, I did all I could, yada, yada, yada, and we the people are still left with the consequences of not voting correctly, because we put the DDP into office, and now, we will suffer the consequences of not voting correctly.
