Transformation Continuing God's Word.
The Word of God has been compared to a sword. Hebrews 4 Verse 12 and 13:
V12: "For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than a two-edged sword, penetrating as far as to divide soul, spirit, joints and marrow; it is a judge of the ideas and thoughts of the heart".
V13:' No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to Whom we must give account".
In comparing the Word of God to a sword, the writer was not suggesting that God uses the Word to slaughter for the saints!
Certainly, the Word cuts the heart of sinners with conviction. And the Word defeats Satan Ephesians 6 Verse 17: "Take the helmet of salvation and The Sword of the Spirit, which is Gods' Word".
The Greek word translated 'sword' means 'a short sword or dagger'.
The emphasis is on the power of The Word to penetrate and expose a person's inner heart. The Word is a discerner or critic and exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Imagine a scalpel gently and accurately cutting away the separate diseased flesh from vibrant healthy flesh.
The Sword is part of the armor of God, which is there to help us live our lives to the fullest.
Ephesians 6 Verse 13 to 17.
God Bless.
