Chaplin Message
I recall times when I thought unkindly about someone, and found it is easy to justify my thoughts and keep my distance, until sometime later this person did something kind to me and thanked me for being there for them. Wow! What a slap in the Face that was, I didn't deserve that kind of grace.
Straight away I thought of the Grace God shows me. I His mercy, God didn't give me what I deserved, but rather what I didn't deserve.
Psalm 103 verses 10 & 11: "He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear [respect. In awe of submission to} Him."
1 John 1 Verse 9: "If we confess our sins, His faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
As you know it was sin that caused God to demonstrate such love and Grace. We created such a great ga between us and God, a gap we couldn't fill. There was nothing e could do. The gap of who God is, and who we are, could only be filled by God's Grace. Because Jesus stood in the Gap and filled the void, we can have new life with Him, in all it fullness.
Ephesians 3 Verse 16 to 19: "According to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and dept, and to know the love of Christ that surpassed knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for such a wonderful gift. May we take full advantage of that life You offer. Please watch over us and our families this week, In Jesus Name. Amen.
God Bless
Chaplin Ron
