I had two friends pass away last month, within one week of each other. Both were young (45 and 50 years old) and both were incredible women who made such a bright impact on the world in their too-short lives.
When something like this happens, it makes me think a lot about my life, how I'm spending my time, who I'm spending it with, and whether or not my God-given gifts and talents are being fully utilized to make this world a better place.
It reminds me that tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us, or any of our loved ones.
While watching my dear friend's husband deliver the eulogy for his best friend and love of his life, he mentioned a quote we often discussed and that the two of them embraced fully in their hugely impactful lives:
"If you can, you must."
If you can make a difference in someone's life, you must.
If you can give back to your community, you must.
If you can tell your child/parent/partner/friend how much they mean to you, you must.
If you can seek help for anything that's holding you back from living in joy and purpose, you must.
If you can offer a hand, you must.
If you can donate to a cause you believe in, you must.
If you can live in your authentic power to inspire others to love and embrace themselves and light up this world, you must.
If you can take action towards a meaningful, fully-lived life, even if you don't know every single next step, you must.
If you can, you must.
Too many of us think that someone else will do the deed or make the donation. Or we operate from a place of lack and think if I give to someone else there won't be enough for me. Others of us are scared about what it means to step fully into our power and inspire others.
I am guilty of all of these.
AND I know that a life well lived requires me to move past these uncomfortable limiting beliefs and courageously do the thing my deep inner knowing is whispering to me to do.
If you can, you must.
To a life well lived.
Lots of love,
Your coach,
