Legati in strada senza poter scappare e senza acqua, buttati in un sacchetto come immondizia, lasciati in casa soli da chi va in ferie e non ha tempo ne' voglia di organizzarsi: è il destino di molti animali da compagnia che, come ormai da triste consuetudine, vanno verso una fine certa. Un fenomeno quello degli abbandoni estivi costantemente monitorato dalle associazioni animaliste e che viene conteggiato dal Ministero della Salute.
Un fenomeno però che, nonostante la sorveglianza, si ripete e cresce ogni anno: "Solo in due settimane a giugno - segnala L'Enpa - abbiamo ricevuto una pioggia di segnalazioni e solo in due settimane a giugno abbiamo recuperato 1000 cuccioli di cane. Soprattutto al Sud". E non solo i cani vengono abbandonati anzi: essendo i gatti quasi sempre senza microchip è più facile allontanarli. E anche qui fioccano le segnalazioni.
Oltre al fenomeno dell'abbandono Enpa segnala anche un altro modo che sta sempre più prendendo piede, meno crudele ma certo difficile da accettare per chiunque abbia avuto un cane con se: la cessione ad altri proprietari o alle organizzazioni stesse. Un fenomeno questo che se per certi versi è comprensibile (decesso di un proprietario, sopravvenute difficoltà economiche post pandemia, etc) per altri versi si configura come un abbandono 'camuffato'. "Tantissime le cessioni, nuova frontiera dell'abbandono, - spiega Carla Rocchi, Presidente nazionale Enpa - frutto spesso di adozioni frettolose e della mancanza di consapevolezza di che tipo di impegno comporti l'accogliere un animale, anche in termini economici".
E anche Enpa a luglio è tornata in 100 piazze italiane per la Giornata nazionale contro l'abbandono. Rocchi ha ricordato in quell'occasione che "L'Enpa lo scorso anno ha sterilizzato 13.849 cani e 29.012 gatti, un'azione fondamentale per combattere il randagismo. E sempre nel 2021 abbiamo dato in adozione 17818 cani e 15412 gatti". Un fenomeno dunque per il quale si registra uno sforzo enorme da parte di associazioni e volontari ma che resta sempre molto forte: "Nei dodici mesi del 2021, nei canili sanitari italiani sono entrati 72.115 cani, 29.194 quelli invece accolti dai canili rifugio. Complessivamente sono stati 101.309 i nuovi ingressi. Pubblicati dal Ministero della salute i dati regionali sul randagismo relativi all'anno 2021.
Da un sondaggio realizzato dall'associazione risulta che sono diverse le motivazioni di chi lascia il proprio cane: decesso del proprietario, diverse condizioni familiari (la nascita di un figlio), difficoltà economiche a mentenerlo, mentre sarebbe poco rilevante l'effetto lockdown perché i cani affidati ad altri sarebbero nella maggior parte dei casi in famiglia da almeno 2-5 anni e una quota rilevante sarebbe in casa da più di 5 anni, quindi bel prima della pandemia.

Dan penyelenggaraan turnamen Sepakbola ini bertepatan dengan momentum menjelang HUT RI ke 77. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan oleh Kepala Desa Hasan Sudrajat alias Jack dan didukung oleh tiga pilar.
Menurut Asep, turnament Sepak bola Kades CUP ini dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan dan mencari bibit - bibit di bidang olahraga khususnya pemuda Desa Pangadegan.
"Turnamen Sepakbola Kades CUP untuk menjalin silaturahmi, persahabatan, persaudaraan dan juga untuk meningkatkan integritas sesuai dengan bakat yang dimiliki masing individu warga masyarakat sehingga dapat meraih prestasi dimasa depan," kata Asep.
Di tempat terpisah, Kepala Desa Pangadegan Hasan Sudrajat alias Jack mengatakan, adanya kegiatan turnamen Sepak bola Kades CUP ini dalam rangka meriahkan dan memperingati menjelang HUT RI ke 77 yang selalu rutin diperingati oleh seluruh bangsa Indonesia.
"Yang menjadi juara pertama akan dibagikan hadiahnya pada tanggal 17 Agustus 2022, hadiah juara pertama uang sebesar Rp3.000.000 (tiga juta rupiah) dan piala bergilir Kades CUP untuk juara kedua dapat uang Rp2.000.000; (dua juta rupiah)," ungkap Sudrajat alias Bang Jack Kepala Desa Pangadegan.(Risti)

It has been said that even atheist sometimes wonder about the all knowing and all seeing God. So it is that single parents tend to wonder about what if they had a partner?
What if they had more money?
What if they had more time?
What if they got promoted?
Some of those decisions were heavily influenced by your expectations and not based on your reality. All your life, you have made decisions with expectations. Some cane to pass and some didn't. It's the cycle called life.
Now as a single parent, a biological mentor, regardless of what you think of that role, it is what you are to your children: you are going to have to avoid passing on unrealistic assumptions and failed dreams which you are still holding on to.
I remember my dad calling to ask me, how I could let my mum remarry, this from a man who was at the time living with a third woman, but he was holding on to a dream of reuniting with my mum and was trying to use me to achieve that instead of accepting that their relationship was over
A lot of us pass on failed dreams to our children as goals or required milestones and that is very damaging. It places the pressure of milestones you failed to achieve on your children often delaying if not completely derailing them from achieving their own dreams.
When you call on the gods, you are also trying to convince yourself that you deserve what you asking for. But sometimes, you really just need to pray for the grace to accept what you can not change and move on to possibilities ahead.
Maybe you need to consider a suitor more seriously, a new job or even a travel opportunity might just be what you are missing out on by trying to make it up to your disappointments instead of your progressive happiness
