And the reason for this, "sharp increase" would be??? Oh yeah, there's now the LAWS, to protect these individuals who'd been sexually harassed in the workplace from before, so more are, speaking up and out! Off of the Newspapers, translated…
The #MeToo trend had initiated the government's response of starting the three amendments on gender equality, based off of statistics, since the laws are implemented back on March 8th, to the end of June, there are a total of twenty-seven cases filed of the sexual harassment in Hsinbei City, 3.375 times more than last year at the same period, the Department of Labor helped the workers filed for the law suits, providing as high as $290,000N.T. in assistance. There's a thirty-percent growth of the cases in Hsinbei, to twenty-five cases this year.

The head of Labor, Chen delivered a report at the city council meeting, talked about how since the amendment had been implemented since March 8th this year, there are so far, twenty-seven cases reported, compared to the eight cases same period last year.
So, this is, good, or it's, also, bad, it's good, because these "victims" who were, sexually harassed are braver in coming out to speak up and out, because there's the LAW, on their side now, whereas from before, there's NO law, protecting them from sexual harassment in the, workplace, and this is also, BAD too, because there are, still many cases that are, still, underneath the surfaces, not yet, busted, out into the open yet, so, is the gender equality law a good thing???
