Of blondies, yarn shortages, and coffee brewed hot.
It's a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren't posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples. It's more laid back than the Project 365s of previous years. You can learn more here

Saturday
Aidan and I took an early morning drive. We traveled an hour and twenty minutes round trip to get coffee and delicious blondies for breakfast. Good times
Sunday
This was me, a few hours ago, enjoying a maple latte and some vest knitting. Some time after I took this picture, I ran out of yarn. It's a darn shame, too, because I had another good 8 to 10 rounds planned for this color. My choices: rip the whole thing out, and introduce the fancy color later on in the design; or leave it alone, and buy more fancy yarn. I will leave the guessing of which option I chose as an exercise for the reader
Thursday
Just your typical Thursday afternoon: writing documentation and daydreaming about Friday afternoon
Finally getting around to scanning my recent instant photos. Someday soon I will write a blog post about my experiences with the different instant cameras.
Friday
Neil left this morning for his first weekend away in nearly two years. My first order of business: brew some hot coffee right in the comfort of my own kitchen while he's not here to smell it
Happy mail this week! Reinforcement yarn for my current project, other yarn in a different color for another version of the same project, some travel bags for an upcoming trip, and some magazine back issues to flip lazily through during that same trip
My plan this weekend is to do some cleaning up while I'm in the mood. I started with the kitchen. Sink empty, and dishwasher running.
Chips and rice and water for dinner. Much more interesting and filling than it sounds.
Thanks for helping me celebrate the week! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Instagram
