Netflix announced during its Netflix Festival Japan 2021 livestream event that it will premiere the second season of the Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 anime worldwide in 2022.
Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki are directing the project at Production I.G and Sola Digital Arts. Russian illustrator Ilya Kuvshinov is the character designer. Nobuko Toda composed the music.
Scriptwriters that worked on the series include: Kenji Kamiyama, Ryou Higaki, Kurasumi Sunayama, Harumi Doki, Dai Sato, and Daisuke DaitÅ.
The first season of Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 debuted on Netflix worldwide in April 2020 with 12 episodes.
