Guys, last night I went to the Pride Run here in the city. Not running myself, but supporting some of the women from our Basketball group and I had a blast. We joked around a lot and laughed and just had a good time in general.
Today is the day of the Rainbow Parade and I am going to meet a woman from the Basketball group at the train station in the city and we're going there together, meeting up with some of the others at the parade directly.
I am so excited. I am a make-up kinda girl, so I put dark eyeliner, a bright blue eye-shadow and some dark pink lipstick. I also painted my fingernails red for the occasion and my toenails black (but I usually do that in summer - I just hadn't gotten around to it yet). I am going to be wearing a Pride wristband, a pride necklace and also a pride ring. In my hair I will wear a rainbow headband and in one of my ears is a dangly Peace earring. The other earrings are my usual tiny little hoops (I have a lot of piercings). My t-shirts shows the phases of the moon in the bi colors and says, "Not A Phase" ... haha. I am also taking along the colorful bag I crocheted a year ago and I put some pride buttons on it.
I am going to be SUCH a colorful little clown. Lol. I am really excited. I am a little shy to walk to the train station like this, but heck, who cares, really. I haven't really made any friends yet here anyway and if people judge ... well you know what, I think most of them see my tattooed arms and the scars and judge me for that already, so I'll be fine going to the train like a walking talking pride flag.
I am sooooo excited though! I might even go out with the women from basketball tonight. My boyfriend's already said he would watch the dogs, and I could take a late train after feeding them back to the city and come home with the first train leaving from the city at 5:20 in the morning.
I only slept like six hours last night though so I am not sure if I am gonna make it all the way till tomorrow morning lol. But I've decided to be spontaneous and make up my mind when I come back home from the parade and have walked and fed the dogs one last time.
Have I mentioned how excited I am?! LOL!
