The staff for Anime Expo 2023 has announced that the event will host the United States premiere of the Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage anime film on July 2, 2023. The film is a sequel to the Kaina of the Great Snow Sea anime. Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage is scheduled to open in Japan on October 13, 2023, and Crunchyroll has announced that it will be streaming the film on its service in October 2023.

The Kaina of the Great Snow Sea anime premiered in Japan on January 12, 2023. Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside of Asia.
