Chaplain's Chat
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, "Who is
this?" The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in
Galilee."
From celebrating and rejoicing, to rejection and crucifixion in one week. What
a victory though, for all mankind, over sin and death and darkness.
The words of this song by John Gowans, based around John 10:10, We wonder
why Christ came into the world, a helpless, homeless child; we wonder why He
tolerated men, the tainted and defiled. We wonder why the Son of God as man
came down; what does this signify?
We wonder why Christ came into the world and let men hurt Him so; we
wonder why the Christ would have to die; does anybody know? The Son of
God as man came down, what does this signify? He came to give us life in al its
fullness, He came to make the blind to see, He came to banish death and doubt
and darkness, He came to set His people free. He liberated love imparted, He
taught men once again to smile; He came to bind the broken hearted, and God
and man to reconcile.
May God bless you, and speak into your hearts this coming week, as you think
of the sacrifice, He made of you so you could have freedom in Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you will impact something special upon our
hearts this coming week, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Chaplain Ron
