View all responses Divinity fudge is not a tradtional fudge. It is lighter and more complex to make. It can have cherries or nuts. I prefer to be white. These used to always been a Christmas staple at my memere's house.  I learned to make when I was 8 years old. I didn't like the nuts she put in them. She was quite surprised I made them easily the first try. I felt as smug as an 8 year old could, my memere never agreed on anything, except this candy. Divinity fudge is incredibly light and airy. It had a soft feel when you bite into them. My cousins were allowed this treat only at Christmas because their mothers dreaded making them.
