I would love to say that I've been quilting up a storm lately, but I have not. I've been tending the home fires, making sure my family are well fed, happy, and well clothed. In fact, I've been enjoying serving my family!
If I were working on a quilt, it would be either one of my five unfinished projects, or a quilt for a service member. I've debated and simplified my unfinished projects list several times, promising myself that I would finish a couple of the items more simply than expected. I'm happy with that route, but I just have not had the quiet time to sit and work on them.
All of my unfinished projects are hand work. I had the opportunity over the weekend to work on a quilt, but I was hoping to piece something on the machine rather than by hand. That would have required me to start a new project, which I am not going to do right now! Instead of spending the time working on quilting, I wound up spending the few minutes I had debating what I should sew. This doesn't happen when I only have one project going at a time! If there's sewing time, I simply do the next step!
I hope you're getting some sewing time in! I promise to try to catch a few minutes quilting soon!
