She contacted me and explained that she had issues and she couldn't send me the pendant. I let her keep the money because she was struggling. How much was it? 229.00. Some good things happened from this exchange. 1. I started making jewelry. 2. I opened an Esty shop(I have since closed it) 3. I still make and sell jewelry in town. 4. Most importantly, I was able to help her with some mental health issues. She lives in my home state. I was able to use my professional skills to get her the help she needed. She had told me that one day she would sent me the jewelry. I told my husband, he shrugged, I will believe it when I see it. I reminded him that Maine people have a different character. At the time, she honestly didn't have the materials and was enduring personal struggles. I had forgotten about the purchase. I had chalked it up to a good deed. I went to mailbox today. I found a box with a card with the pendant and matching earrings. I will call her Tina. Tina turned her life around from a very dark place. I was thinking today sometimes, we come into a person's life when we are needed. I mean what are the odds that a mental health professional would buy jewelry from someone who needed help. I think we all need to think about our paths when we cross each other. Small acts of kindness, a bit of grace goes a long way. Ironically, this was after my Esty shop account was compromised last week. I was a bit miffed at the world. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
