Transformation Continuing.
In Galatians 3 Verse 27: It tells us to put on Christ.
"For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ."
The phrase 'put on Christ' pictures a change of garment. The believer has laid aside the dirty garments of sin and by faith, received the robes of righteousness in Christ. But to the Galatians, this idea of changing clothes would have had additional meaning.
When the Roman child came of age, he took off the childhood garments and put on the toga of the adult citizen. The believer in Christ is not just a 'child of God', he or she is a 'son or daughter of God'.
Galatians 3 Verse 26: "for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus".
The believer has an adult standing before God, so why go back into childhood of the law?
Put on Christ, and be enveloped in all we are created for, to fellowship with Him as Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend.
To accept Him and 'Put on Christ' means more than just joining a community group, it establishes us as Kingdom people with an eternal destiny
God Bless.
