The South Yorkshire Police Careers Fair 2024 is taking place at Niagara Conference & Leisure Centre on Monday 16 September, 2pm - 7pm.
The event is for anyone who's ever considered a career with South Yorkshire Police (SYP), or for curious job seekers, looking for inspiration.
The event will be free flow for attendees to circulate round the tables in the main room and ask questions of the various departments in attendance.
In addition, there will be live displays and presentations from the below:
- 2pm event start (bookings on Eventbrite for 2pm - 5pm or 5pm - 7pm)
- Drones display
- Dogs display
- A career in firearms presentation and video
- Entry routes and life as a detective
- Ongoing talk & interaction in the car park with Roads Policing Group
- Cyber Crime Unit showcasing their Blueline vehicle
- Tactical Support Group demonstrating tactics to support the wider force
- Crime Scene Investigation – a real crime scene set up, demonstration & talk
- The application process at SYP (including vetting)
- The interview process at SYP, competency-based interviews and addressing the CVF, Talent Acquisition Team
An agenda including times when these displays will be happening will be available closer to the day and displayed on the day. All contributors are subject to change.

If you want to organise a group of 10 or more people, please email claire.humphries@southyorkshire.police.uk with the time you intend to arrive, all attendees names and emails. If your group plan to travel via mini bus or coach please also mention this in your email, so a car parking space can be arranged.
