View all responses Writing allows me to escape from my world. I live in a rural area. Lately, life has been full of frustrations, disappointments, and miscommunications. I can create characters, places, and situations very different from my life and beliefs. My mood and attitude inform my writing. Negativity shows through when I am frustrated with things that I cannot control. Novelists create and control their worlds and their characters.
