Box Office Mojo has reported that My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, the third anime film in the My Hero Academia franchise, debuted at #2 in the United States on its opening day on October 29, 2021. The film earned an estimated US$2,882,381 on October 29, 2021 in 1,602 theaters, with a per-theater average of about US$1,799.

In comparison, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising earned US$2,526,900 on its first day in February 2020 (the film opened in the United States on a Wednesday), topping the box office.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission began screening in over 1,500 theaters in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland on October 29, 2021, and in Australia and New Zealand on October 28, 2021. The film will also screen in Latin America in Spanish and Portuguese.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission opened in Japanese theaters on August 6, 2021.
